Body positivity is not bringing down one body type to bring up another
Body positivity is not a competition
Body positivity is acknowledging that there is NO right or wrong body type, skinny, fat, short, tall, abled, disabled, whatever.
Body positivity includes everyone
if you want to look like a model. eat like a model. train like a model. dress like a model.
* are mean to their mothers
* are against feminism
* only want you for your body
* will/are leading you on
* think you owe them something
* think they are entitled to your body
having body hair annoys me but removing body hair also annoys me and also life, life annoys me
Please be gentle with your body. It loves you more than anyone or anything in this world. It fixes every cut, every wound, every broken bone, and fights off so many illnesses, sometimes without you even knowing about it. Even when you punish it, it is still there for you, struggling to keep you alive, keep you breathing. Your body is an ocean full of love. So please, be kind to it. It’s doing the very best it can.
No one in my family, not one of my friends or classmates realized that I was going through life asleep.
It was literally true: I was going through life asleep. My body had no more feeling than a drowned corpse. My very existence, my life in the world, seemed like a hallucination. A strong wind would make me think my body was about to be blown to the end of the earth, to some land I had never seen or heard of, where my mind and body would separate forever. ‘Hold tight,’ I would tell myself, but there was nothing for me to hold on to.

THESE ARE NOT THINGS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF. THESE ARE NATURAL THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD EMBRACE. THE HUMAN BODY IS BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
i’ve become so obsessed with body image when i look at people i dont see humans anymore. i see bodies. i am constantly looking at peoples legs and arms and hair and faces and just comparing them to my own body to other peoples.
I remember what he wrote
I remember what he wrote and how badly it hurt me to read that
I remember reading it at 9:31 and still crying about it at 10:52
I remember halfway through reading it how i could feel my heart drop and my body start to shake

7- To be the “Skinny/Fit friend”
8- To lead an overall healthy lifestyle
9- Bikinis
10- not wasting tears on how much you weigh
11- so people say “Have you lost weight?”
12- “You look so much better”
13- to be happy
14- To be confident
15- to be able to eat without worrying how you look
16- To be able to join sport teams
17- to be carefree
18- to like the way you look in front of your loved one
19- To be able to look back and be happy you changed
20- to love yourself.
